Venture Needs Your Support

As you know, funding of California schools is always tenuous. This year we waited over eighty days for a signed budget. Funding is not always consistent, so the money we receive from the state to run Venture changes from year to year and sometimes within a school year. As with all other schools in San Ramon Valley Unified School District and districts around the state, we are funded below our needs.

We are dependent on the generous donations of the community to fund our “extras” – elective classes, supplemental textbooks, technology and instructional materials. You may be aware that many schools in our District raise thousands, in reality hundreds of thousands of dollars, to support programs at their schools. As an independent school, Venture does not have the same opportunities to fund raise. We are asking for your help and support.

To maintain a quality programs that provides the “extras” that we consider essentials, we are asking that you consider making a tax deductible donation of $200 for each child you have registered at Venture. Many employers provide matching funds so a donation in any amount would double. In addition, we ask that you complete an e-scrip form registering your Safeway Club card number (not phone number). Simply by registering your card at Safeway you will be helping raise money for Venture. Approximately 2% of your grocery bill is donated to Venture, allowing us to continue to help students..
